What is Mediation?

Meditation has been described as “natural state of the human mind—at rest, open, alert”, “the practice of turning your attention to a single point of reference”, “a method for acquainting our mind with virtue”, and simply relaxing and settling the mind. Meditation is a practice and set of techniques that can be secular or religious, although many religious and spiritual traditions include meditation. When practiced on a regular basis, meditation is one of the best ways to manage and reduce stress.
